The
Zone Diet Basics are a low carbohydrate, low calorie diet that removes

size and increased exercise. This kind of sounds
like this website, doesn't it?
Does the
Zone Diet
Work?If you stick to the diet and develop the eating habits
that are recommended by Dr. Barry Sears Zone Diet. The answer to the
question of "Does the Zone Diet work?" Should be a resounding yes. The
principles pushed in the Zone Diet books are based on sound, healthy
eating and exercise practices.
Zone Diet BasicsEnter
the Zone DietYou enter the Zone Diet by being introduced to
the concept of eating five times a day, with EVERY eating session being
based around a 40:30:30 ratio. That is: 40% of calories from
Carbs, 30% from Protein, and 30 from fat. Now, we're not
talking about eating heavily processed grains or sugars as a carb
source. Nor about Fatty Red Meats for Protein. And we are talking about
healthy unsaturated fats from natural sources, with a heavy emphasis on
fish, olive, and nut oils.
Zone Diet BlocksDr Barry Sears Zone diet breaks portions down
into Zone Diet Blocks. These Blocks each consist of one each
of a mini block of protein, fat, and carbs. A mini block is 7 grams of
low fat protein, 9 grams of carbs from fruits or vegetables, or 3 grams
of fat. You are alloted a number of Zone Diet Blocks based on
your weight, height, and body proportions. Which are then spread out
over 3 meals and 2 snacks.If
you come at this as a lifestyle change for
better health, the zone diet could be what you are looking for for your
weight loss goals. But if you Look at it as a "Diet" you are
doomed to failure, because when you stop eating this way, and return to
the eating regiment that you came from, the pounds will fly back on.
