Kids Nutrition ...
It's under your control, not theirs.

I grow more and more weary as I keep hearing stories on the news about Kids Nutrition today.

Every week you see stories about children who are overweight and their parents are saying that they can't control what they are eating.

Bull Crap!

Simple fact is that, in most cases its the parents fault their children are over weight.

As the parent, your kids nutrition is completely in your control.
You are the one that is showing them Day in and Day out what is proper to eat.

If you take control of what is in the house for them to eat…
They will eat what is available when they get hungry.

If the only things you have in the house for snacks are fruits, vegetables, and healthy grains…
That is what they will grow to habitually eat when they feel a need for snacks.

Who's in control here?

Just because junior wants mini donuts, or sugar cereal for breakfast
Doesn't mean they have to have it.

For most of these obese children today, it's the parents fault their chlidren eat the wrong things.
Missing a meal or two because they "won't" eat what you put on their plate, won't hurt them.
And they will eventually eat what you put on the plate, simply because they are actually hungry.

Teaching kids nutrition is not about giving them the facts about what they should eat. It's about giving them no choice but to eat the right things.

It's about making it impossible for them to eat anything that is not good for them when they are at home.

When I was growing up, I always felt a little bad for my cousins.

When I would visit them, I noticed that there were no sugared cereals in the house.
There was never any soda in the house, except when a party was being thrown.
In my house, soda was available, and I got to eat Sugar frosted Corn Flakes for breakfast.

But, guess who's the one that had to, later in life, figure out how to get it right, after fighting major weight gain that started in their mid 20's?

I'm the one that developed the bad habits that lead to weight gain and high cholesterol.
My cousins are both "naturally skinny" people.

B.S.!

They are the ones that learned proper nutrition without ever having to think about it.
Through example, they learned what is proper and appropriate to eat.
They weren't given a choice, and they never even missed it.

Now, I'm the one that is jealous of their health and vitality through the years.
I had to learn and develop the 7 habits of weight loss for myself.

They just got it.

Take control of your kids nutrition, and save them a lifetime of struggle.
