Hydration,
Water, and
Weight loss
Proper Hydration is key to weight loss.
Water is the lube that greases the wheels of your
metabolism.
So more bad stuff is flushed, and more good stuff gets processed
properly.
Why is drinking lots of water being pushed so much
these days?
Do I really need to drink 8 - 8 ounce glasses of
water per day?
Hydration,
Water, and Weight Loss go hand in hand.
Water
is the primary substance in our body.
It is used for everything that our body does.
It lubricates the system, and keeps the balances
in check.
It flushes out the bad things we put in, and helps
us process the good
things we eat.
It also helps curb hunger.
A tall glass of water 30 minutes before a meal will help you feel less
hungry, helping you to practice portion control.
Leading to decreased
calorie intake as a part of a weight loss regiment.
The current trend is to recommend 1 ounce of water
per day, for every 2
pounds you weigh to achieve proper hydration.
So, instead of the 64 ounces once recommended, it
would be 80 ounces
for a 160 pound person.
Scientific studies show that the amount of water
that is released from
your system varies greatly amongst body types, percentage of fat in the
body, how hot it is, whether you are exercising, and if you are
stressed out.
So the amount of water you need can vary by the
day.
The real test is whether your urine is
appropriately colored (clear to
light yellow). If the odor is strong, or is a Bright Glowing stream…

Not all of it has to be
consumed as straight water.
But the body does need to have the water available.
Water can come in the form of fruits and vegetables. (The more of them
you eat, the less you need to drink.)
Many foods and drinks can take the place of
drinking straight
water.
There are many studies that say Tea has great
health
properties, and it is a great way to increase your water intake.
Find a schedule that works for you, and stick with
it, and in short order, you won't even really think about it anymore.
It's just one more habit.
It just happens to be a healthy one.
