I'm sure you can add a few more ways to increase metabolism of your
own, as well. There are also other major benefits of physical exercise.
If you go out and blow a large
sum of expendable (or not) income on a home gym, or gym membership, and
then you can't make it there the 3 - 5 days a week you promised
yourself, you feel a major sense of guilt, frustration, and just down
right nasty feelings about yourself.
Seriously!
Just make a commitment to yourself that you are going to keep an eye
out for ways that you can do things that will increase what you burn
(Increase Metabolism) with a minimal impact on your existing life. It's about finding the Best Weight Loss Exercise Program For You
Really, what is the loss of
taking a few extra minutes, several times a day to do something right
for you?
Heck, in the case of stairs. For
2 or 3 floors, it is generally a time saver. Take
Control of how you live your life, and increase your
metabolism.
I'm a big fan of the movie "What
About Bob" and the concept of baby steps.
Let's take it one thing at a
time.
This is not a sprint, it is a
marathon. We aren't going to train for it overnight, nor complete it
without working for it.
If you want to go for an
exercise program. DO NOT let me stop you!

If you really love rollerblading
in the park, and want to do it 3 evenings a week.
Run with it.
If you want to go pump weights
at the gym, or take on an aerobics regiment.
AWESOME!
These are Excellent ways to
Increase Metabolism.
But LOOK
BEFORE YOU LEAP.
Any sudden MAJOR change in how you use your muscles is going to cause
discomfort, and, sometimes actual damage.
Heck, I'm a complete 8 to 5 'er,
And I decided this weekend to allow more than the normal amount of
Daddy climbing by my 5 year old, and practically every muscle in my
body is aching.
It was a lot of fun, but the muscles are not accustomed to it.
Different angles, much larger weight.
I did probably do a little bit of the good kind of muscle ripping, and
will build more lean muscle in its repair, thus improving my ability to
burn more calories.
I have in the past been a
complete aerobics fanatic. I have also done biking, blading, and
climbing as forms of exercise during the years that I was the fittest I
could be.
They are all wonderful forms of exercise that just build beautifully
lean muscle, which will increase metabolism.
I also love waterskiing, but it is a rather expensive sport, and am not
currently able to enjoy it for assorted reasons.
Today, I am relegated to working at getting away from a desk and
keyboard more often so I can go get more physical.
So, I resort to just burning more calories where I can.
Hmmm, Maybe I
should get a Wii...
